Description
On Tuesday evening, the National Center for Victims of Crime was told that it would be losing $2.8 million worth of grants for three programs.
One of those is the Victim Resource Center hotline, run by 20 staff that provide victims of crime with emotional support and resources. More than 16,000 people called that hotline last year, and 250 of them were from Colorado.
This Friday at 5 p.m., just three days after finding out about the rescinded funding, the hotline will no longer exist.
