Description
Things are really going to heat up today and into Friday, as high temperatures soar into the 80s.
With the warmer and more humid weather today and Friday, the atmosphere will become prime for the chances of thunderstorm development, especially during the afternoon.
While some of these afternoon and evening pop-ups could be gusty, the biggest risk right now will come with a line of storms after dark Thursday and into early Friday. That's when severe weather, mostly wind and hail, could be possible.
While the main risks are wind and hail, we cannot rule out the risk for some tornadoes overnight as well, though this risk is a bit lower. The main risks for storms will move through between 10pm and 5am.
Having the 10TV app on your phone to get weather alerts is the best way to stay ahead of any storms that do end up forming and the 10TV+ app to your smart TV to catch live weather updates between newscasts.
