Description

A massive fire tore through a vacant hotel along the I-10 East Freeway Friday morning, sending flames shooting into the air and collapsing the building's upper floors. According to Harris County fire officials, the fire broke out at the old Fairfield Inn on East Freeway near Sheldon Road. Firefighter Brandi Dumas with the Harris County Fire Marshal’s Office said a firefighter was driving by and spotted the flames. They reported it around 8:52 a.m. to the Channelview Fire Department.
