According to the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, an over-height garbage truck was traveling across the I-10 west on-ramp last Monday when an unexpected accident took place. Scott Boyle with DOTD said, "There's the possibility that the overhead ramp could collapse." He went on to say the truck, "Hit an overhead girder, was redirected, came to its final spot into a column and did severe damage." Fast forward a week or so, and that truck is still there. What's not there, however, is flowing traffic.
