Description
Many questions were left unanswered on Wednesday after Jefferson Parish deputies shot an armed woman.
Authorities have now identified the woman as Paige Robin, 62, of Lafitte.
Robin's former Westwego neighbor, Louis Rachal, was shocked when he saw the now-viral video of the standoff.
“It really, it really hurt me cause she was my best friend," Rachal said.
Rachal said he spent a lot of time with Robin before he helped her move in with her family in Lafitte.
“We was close friends. We got along good, and we helped each other out," Rachal said, “But I told her about that vodka before, I hate to say this, but it’s the truth.”
Court documents show Robin plead guilty to a third offense DWI that occurred in 2008. Robin was ordered to serve time in Jefferson Parish prison and participate in substance abuse treatment.
