The latest update from NHC shows that Hurricane Francine is maintaining the same intensity and not rapidly increasing. Francine is a Category 1 hurricane as of Wednesday morning. The storm is forecast to make landfall in Southeast Louisiana on Wednesday during the late afternoon/evening hours. The official National Hurricane Center track has it becoming a category-2 storm, with winds of close to 100 mph at its center just prior to landfall.
