Chief Meteorologist Chris Franklin says models not in agreement on potential development in the Atlantic. No development is expected across the Atlantic basin for the next 7 days mainly due to an unfavorable phase of the MJO as well as Saharan dust. However, longer-range Euro guidance does start hinting at some potential for development in the Atlantic has we move into the first several days of August over the western Atlantic and perhaps the northern Caribbean and toward FL. While this has been consistent from the Euro, the GFS has been consistent in developing nothing! Certainly far from any certainty, but just giving you sneak peak!
