Description
Tropical Storm Beryl is starting to strengthen as it approaches the Texas Gulf Coast. As of the 10 AM update it is forecast to become a category-1, maybe a 2.
Beryl is a tropical storm in the Gulf of Mexico as of early Sunday. Wind shear and dry air that Beryl encountered on Saturday should weaken on Sunday which will allow Beryl to strengthen possibly into a Category 1 hurricane by late Sunday.
Its forecast path has shifted slightly northward. A trough of low pressure will form over Texas between two high-pressure centers on either side. This should guide Beryl to the north along the Texas coast with a landfall somewhere around Victoria early Monday.
