Chief Meteorologist Chris Franklin says the warmer and more humid air will stay around through the weekend, remaining mostly dry. It's a busy weekend across the area, with the start of the Zurich Classic and the New Orleans Jazz Festival today! It's going to be very warm all weekend long with increasing humidity. Thursday brought plenty of sun for the start of the weekend festivities, while Friday offers mostly cloudy skies. High temperatures through the next week will climb into the middle 80s, accompanied by a muggy feel each day. Winds will also pick up starting tomorrow, and it will stay pretty windy this weekend. Expect winds to come mostly from the south/southeast the next several days which is the reason we'll feel more humid, plus more clouds will be around this weekend, too. Sustained winds this weekend may be around 15-20 mph, with gusts near 30 mph at times.
