Nicole will move towards Florida this weekend and could bring major coastal impacts to part of the state. Sub-Tropical Storm Nicole has formed and will head towards Florida this week. The system will gain strength as it nears Florida on Thursday. The storm will then start to turn north by the end of the week thanks to an approaching trough. It will then head towards the Carolinas. The system will be large, so coastal erosion and waves will be a big threat for the east coast of Florida and up through Georgia and the Carolinas. Much of the Pensacola will see rain from Nicole and it's possible the system strengthens into a hurricane.
