The National Rally headquarters, companies and the homes of their directors were searched as part of a judicial investigation into suspicions of illegal financing of the presidential and legislative campaigns in 2022 and the European elections in 2024. The search was condemned by the party Treasurer Wallerand de Saint-Just, who said 'This is a totally unacceptable and scandalous procedure'. SOUNDBITE
