Description
The head of rights group Amnesty International in Kenya, Irungu Houghton, says the country is facing a "very tense moment" after recent anti-government protests where dozens have been killed. Houghton also criticises leading politicians, including President William Ruto, for issuing "unlawful commands" to officers to shoot to kill or to maim protesters. "We are calling on the entire political class to desist from giving unlawful commands to the police," he says at a press conference in Nairobi. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
