Monthly inflation in Argentina inched slightly higher in June, but remained among the lowest in years, a boost to budget-slashing President Javier Milei's efforts to curb runaway prices.
June inflation came in at 1.6 percent, slightly up from May's 1.5 percent, which has been the lowest rate in five years, says the INDEC statistics agency. The annual rate came in at 39.4 percent, down from 211 percent at the end of 2023, but still one of the highest in the world.
