Description
A record number of endangered Kemp’s Ridley Sea turtle nests have been found on the Texas coast this year — but now, nearly 30 baby turtles have washed ashore. Fish and Wildlife officials are asking beachgoers to stay alert and protect these fragile hatchlings.
If you spot a hatchling, don’t place it back in the water. Call the Texas Sea Turtle Hotline: 1-866-TURTLE-5 (1-886-887-8535)
Let trained crews take care of them and give them the best chance of survival.
