Denver’s Department of Transportation and Infrastructure (DOTI) is wrapping up maintenance work on the West 8th Avenue viaduct and plans to fully close the bridge this weekend for resurfacing. The closure of the W. 8th Avenue bridge between Tejon and Mariposa streets will begin at 7 a.m. Friday, June 6. It will reopen the end of the day on Monday, June 9. During the closure of the bridge, motorists travelling east on 8th Avenue will be routed north on Wyandot Street to W. 13th Avenue, then east toward Mariposa Street and south back toward 8th Avenue. Drivers on I-25 are encouraged to use 6th Avenue or Colfax Avenue as alternate routes.
