Description
The City of Muncie has fired its Chief of Emergency Medical Services amid an investigation.
Wesley Miller was placed on administrative leave last week after being charged with domestic battery in Jay County.
Miller is charged with residential entry and domestic battery in front of a child less than 16 years old.
On May 27, those charges were filed and a warrant was issued out of Jay County for Miller's arrest.
Muncie Mayor Dan Ridenour said the decision was not made lightly.
A statement from the mayor says, in part, "We recognize the importance of maintaining the highest standards of leadership and accountability within our public safety departments."
