Police say two people were injured Wednesday evening in a shooting on Indianapolis' near north side. The shooting happened around 8:45 p.m. June 4 in the 200 block of West 38th Street, which is near North Capitol Avenue. Few details were immediately available, but an IMPD spokesperson said officers investigating a report of a shooting found a victim with an apparent gunshot wound to the lower body. The victim was reported to be in critical condition when transported to a hospital.
