In war-scarred Khartoum, electricity workers move steadily through shattered and burnt power stations, trying to repair what they can after mass damage to the capital's electrical infrastructure.
"All the iron and cables were stolen," says Mohamed al-Bashir, director of the East Khartoum Electricity Department, as he speaks to AFP in the ruins of a destroyed power station.
