We'll enjoy plenty of sunshine throughout the day with temperatures well into the 80s once again. These temperatures are running 10-15 degrees above the normal high of 73.  These warm conditions will stick around throughout the extended forecast with a brief mid-week cooldown. Temperatures will return to the upper 70s on Wednesday and Thursday, before returning to the 80s for the first weekend of October. While we enjoy the sunshine and warm temperatures, we won't be seeing much for rain chances. There is little to no chance for rain in the extended forecast, meaning drought will likely worsen in the coming days. There was a chance we could see some moisture by mid-week as some tropical activity affects the Carolinas, but those chances are gone as the system stays offshore. We may start to see more chances for rain as we get further into October.
