U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio’ met with the ruling emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, on Tuesday. One day earlier, Qatar hosted a summit that saw Arab and Islamic countries denounce Israel over its airstrikes on Hamas leaders in Qatar last week. That attack last week that killed six people. But leaders at Monday's summit offered different views about what to do, and the group agreed to take only minimal action. Rubio's visit also came as the Israeli military said its expanded operation in Gaza City had begun and warned residents to move south.
