The proposal caused a stir that went viral this week when some of Oregon's most popular family farms took to social media, expressing fear that the new rules would restrict their ability to host activities that keep their businesses afloat. A state official told KGW that this was a misunderstanding of the proposal provoked by "misinformation campaigns" from land use opponents.
