Description
Indiana State Police troopers helped deliver a baby Saturday morning on Interstate 65 in Tippecanoe County.
According to a news release from ISP, around 8 a.m. on May 17, two troopers were called to a medical emergency along the southbound lanes of I-65 near the 163 mile-marker, which is just south of South County Road 900 East. A woman had gone into labor and pulled over onto the shoulder.
When officers arrived on scene, they found the woman in labor along with the newborn's father and grandmother. Both responding troopers helped assist with the delivery of a healthy baby boy.
