Two programs in Indianapolis Tuesday gave recognition for the work of police officers and other first responders. During their annual awards program, Indiana State Police honored their own for going above and beyond the call of duty. Several troopers and other ISP staffers were recognized during the downtown ceremony. The department's superintendent and an assistant superintendent presented awards for outstanding service and their efforts to save lives.
