Description
Indiana teachers filled the Statehouse on Monday, April 14 as part of the Indiana State Teachers Association (ISTA) "Day of Action."
Many teachers are motivated by Senate Bill 1. The bill deals with property taxes, as well as forcing public schools to share referenda money with some charter schools and dissolving an Indiana school corporation.
That was part of another bill that faced stiff opposition from teachers and parents, but also had the support of the school choice movement.
