Description
A more than week-long closure is set to impact a major street on Indianapolis' near east side beginning Monday.
Monday afternoon, March 31, Citizens Energy Group crews will fully close the intersection of East Washington Street and State Avenue, just west of Willard Park.
The closure is for a water main relocation to prepare the site for "future roadway construction associated with IndyGo's Blue Line," a company spokesperson said in a statement.
The closure is expected to last around eight days, during which signage will lead drivers around the construction using "various eastside thoroughfares."
