An investigation is underway after a fire that heavily damaged two homes on Indianapolis' near north side Friday morning. The fire was reported around 5:30 a.m. March 21 in the 3100 block of Graceland Avenue, near West 31st Street and North Capitol Avenue. A 13News crew at the scene found Graceland Avenue blocked in the area as crews worked to known down the fire, which Indianapolis Fire Department officials confirmed started in one home and spread to the other, causing significant damage to both.
