Description
An Indianapolis man is on trial after police say he tried to shoot someone in a fit of road rage, and hit an innocent bystander instead.
Marqueses Tipton is charged with aggravated battery and two counts of criminal recklessness for a shooting that happened around 3:15 p.m. on March 20, 2023. It happened near East 71st Street and North Keystone Avenue.
Prosecutors say an SUV crashed into Tipton's car on Keystone Avenue. That driver left the scene. Surveillance video shows Tipton shot at a different SUV that he saw driving away. His shots hit that SUV, which had a 6-year-old girl inside, but didn't hit anyone in there.
