IMPD is investigating after a man who was found shot lying in a road in critical condition on Indy's near east side died. Just before 5:45 a.m. Feb. 25, officers responded to a report of a person shot in the 400 block of Oakland Avenue, near Southeastern Avenue. When police arrived on scene, they found a man lying in the road with a gunshot wound. He was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.
