Description
People living on Birchwood and Fairfield Avenues on the city's near north side know better when they see a city snow plow come down their road.
"We would shovel our own driveway, like we had to shovel our own cars out, because we have street parking here. But after we shoveled that like it was pretty much our responsibility to take care of our street," said Chelsea Parrish.
Thursday afternoon, Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett announced an interim plan to clear snow off all residential streets for the rest of the winter. That's only if the snow amounts to four inches or more.
If Indianapolis gets a weather event that brings 3.8 inches of snow, you likely won't see a city plow on your street.
