A firefighter with the Monroe County Fire Protection District and Pleasant Run Fire Department has died following a crash early Saturday morning. According to a release from the Monroe County Sheriff's Department, around 6:20 a.m. on Feb. 15, deputies responded to a single-vehicle crash near the intersection of State Road 446 and Dutch Ridge Road in Pleasant Run Township. When deputies arrived, they found a 2006 Ford F350 that had gone off the roadway and into a wooded area. The driver, Leroy Terrell of Bedford, was pronounced dead at the scene.
