The man accused of shooting and critically injuring a southern Indiana sheriff's deputy has been killed in Louisville following a two-day manhunt.
According to a release from Indiana State Police, on Saturday evening, ISP investigators and officers with the Louisville Metropolitan Police Department were led to a home on the south side of Louisville in an attempt to locate suspect Austin Schepers.
Schepers was wanted for shooting Orange County Deputy Sheriff Zac Andry early Friday morning.
During the investigation at the southern Louisville house, officers reportedly found Schepers. Police say a confrontation between officers and Schepers occurred before he was shot and killed by officers.
