The moment Corban Phillips saw family and friends inside the Indianapolis International Airport, cheers, and even a few tears, could be heard across the terminal. It has been months since Corban and his mom have been at their Westfield home. On the afternoon of Aug. 24, Corban was practicing his flipping moves in gymnastics when he had an accident on a trampoline in a friend's backyard. Corban injured his C5 and C6 vertebrae, which his family says is now fused with pins and screws. He is paralyzed from the waist down.
