An 82-year-old woman has died following a house fire on Indy's southeast side Saturday afternoon. According to the Indianapolis Fire Department, around 4:41 p.m. on Dec. 14, firefighters received a call about a fire at a house located in the 5200 block of Chisolm Trail, which is near Thompson Road and Emerson Avenue. When firefighters arrived on scene, they found a single-story residence with smoke showing. Firefighters were able to confirm someone was trapped inside the home within minutes of arriving on scene. Unfortunately, at 4:52 p.m., firefighters discovered an 82-year-old woman was deceased inside the home.
