Description
A jury convicted an Indianapolis man for the deadly shooting of a 19-year-old outside of a convenience store on the city's west side in September 2022.
Following a two-day trial, jurors found 22-year-old Julius Beverly guilty on two counts of murder and one count of robbery resulting in serious bodily injury.
Around 6 p.m., Sept. 4, 2022, IMPD officers responded to the 4200 block of North High School Road, near West 46th Street, on a report of a person shot.
Officers arrived and located 19-year-old Da'Kylen White inside a vehicle. Medics pronounced White dead at the scene.
Security footage showed Beverly get out of the passenger side of White's car, get back in the car and fire multiple shots at White, hitting him in the head.
