Description
A driver in Hancock County was sentenced Wednesday to 20 days in jail, one day after he was arrested when a state trooper clocked him driving at twice the posted speed limit in a construction zone.
Indiana State Police Sgt. John Perrine said Trooper Nick Cox stopped the car Nov. 19 along Interstate 70 near Greenfield that he says was going 110 miles per hour in a construction zone, where the speed limit is 55.
Perrine said the driver faced charges for reckless driving, work zone speeding with workers present and following too closely.
