Supermoon is a term used to describe a full moon that is closer to the Earth than it usually is.
Researchers say during a supermoon event, the orb may appear 8% larger and 16% brighter than the average full moon.
If you missed seeing this one, you can catch the Beaver Moon on Nov. 15, which will be the fourth and final supermoon of the year.
