Two parents are facing charges after two middle school students were hospitalized from eating meth. The Westfield mother and father were charged with possession of meth, possession of a narcotic drug and six counts of neglect of a dependent. Court documents say a 13-year-old student told school officials that she "swallowed methamphetamine" that she "got from her boyfriend." The middle school was able to identify the boyfriend who allegedly gave the victim the meth. He was also a student at the school. School officials then spoke to the student who said he gave the victim "powder and a crystal" that he found on the floor of his dad's bedroom. Thirty minutes after the victim started experiencing symptoms, a second 13-year-old student started experiencing similar symptoms. Both students were taken to a local hospital.
