Beech Grove police and IMPD are investigating a shooting that killed an 18-year-old woman on Indy's southeast side Sunday night. Just after 9 p.m. Sept. 29, officers responded to the 5900 block of Riva Ridge Drive, near South Arlington Avenue and Interstate 465, on a report of a person shot. When officers arrived, they found an 18-year-old woman who had been shot and reported in critical condition. She later died in a local hospital. Monday morning, the Marion County Coroner's Office identified her as Makayla Sue Bauman.
