Police in Carmel say a gun was taken from a police vehicle during a string of break-ins this week. Officers responded to reports of a total of seven vehicles that were broken into on the morning of July 31, police said in a release Friday. Three of the vehicles were police vehicles belonging to different agencies. Police said a gun was taken from the Carmel Police vehicle.
