Description
The heat dome has been baking the Great Lakes region and Ohio River Valley for many days. The soil is drying out and temperatures have soared well into the 90s. Low and mid 80s are more typical for mid June. The high pressure is breaking down a bit, allowing fronts to arrive into Indiana bringing some slightly cooler weather.
