Description
At Union School Corporation in Modoc, there’s no summer break from the courtroom.
For months, the small Randolph County district faced an uncertain fall. with a new law threatening to shutter the school by 2027. But for now, the doors stay open.
A judge granted a preliminary injunction, giving Union the green light to operate through at least the 2026-2027 school year.
It means classes will resume as scheduled this fall, even as legal battles loom in the background.
