Description
One week after hundreds of kids gathered at Northfield Mall for a coordinated “takeover” event, a group of Aurora teens spent their day making something far sweeter: homemade ice cream.
Inside Jason McBride’s Aurora nonprofit, youth like 14-year-old Elijah Lee are learning how to run a small business through a program called Kids Kreations. The program teaches kids how to make, market and sell their own ice cream, while earning money and building life skills.
