Description
A Clearwater man's house is damaged after police say he accidentally drove his car through the wall of his house.
It happened Wednesday afternoon in the area of Heather Trail and Landmark Drive, according to a post from the Clearwater Police Department.
The 83-year-old driver reportedly told officials that his foot slipped from the brake to the gas while he was in the garage. Police say his only injury was a minor cut, and he did not have to go to the hospital.
Photos posted by Clearwater PD show the Volkswagen vehicle through the house as parts of the wall and other debris are laid out on the ground.
Clearwater firefighters were at the scene assessing the structural safety of the home.
