If your Tampa commute feels worse lately, you're not alone — and you're not wrong. A new study from ConsumerAffairs ranks the Tampa Bay area as the 13th worst in the country for traffic congestion. That’s a major jump from just last year, when the metro was ranked 24th among the nation’s 50 largest regions. “It’s gotten a lot worse,” driver Tim Pipes said. Researchers evaluated commute times, daily congestion and fatal crash rates.
