The start of Buccaneers training camp marks the beginning of what could be a six-month journey to Super Bowl LX in Santa Clara, CA, next February. Quarterback Baker Mayfield is taking that mission to heart, declaring that his goal is to play for the Lombardi Trophy this season. "We set our own standard, and our standard is we won the division the last few years. We are not just trying to do that. We're trying to take it to the next level. So, yeah, the goal is the Super Bowl," he said after Thursday's training camp practice. The Buccaneers made the playoffs in both of Mayfield's first pair of seasons as the starting quarterback. In 2024, he set career highs with 4,500 passing yards and 44 total touchdowns. New offensive coordinator Josh Grizzard was on the coaching staff last year and called plays on a limited basis, so there will be continuity with Mayfield and the rest of Tampa Bay's offense this season.
