Former Louisville Metro Police (LMPD) detective Brett Hankison has been sentenced to 33 months in prison, months after he was convicted of violating Breonna Taylor's civil rights. Last November, a federal jury found Hankison guilty of using excessive force with the intent to kill when he fired 10 shots into the side of her apartment during the night of the deadly 2020 police raid. None of Hankison's bullets hit Taylor.
