Description
Nearly two years after investigators found 190 mishandled human remains in a Penrose funeral home, one of the defendants pleaded guilty in federal court on Monday morning.
Carie Hallford stood before a federal judge while in custody and pleaded guilty to a federal felony charge of conspiracy to commit wire fraud.
Her husband, Jon Hallford, is already serving a 20-year prison sentence after pleading guilty to the same federal charge earlier this year.
