Description
The fantastical spiral tower proposed last month might be less far-fetched than first thought, as the international company behind the design says they have been in contact with Denver developers.
In June, an LLC tied to Denver-based commercial real estate firm NAI Shames Makovsky submitted plans to the city to build the 673-foot tower less than a block from the 16th Street retail district.
The project, at 1546 California and 1555 Welton streets, would be constructed on what's currently a surface parking lot just south of the Denver Pavilions and soar over several surrounding buildings to a height that would make it the fourth-tallest structure in the city and state.
