A late-night fire ripped through a Houston apartment complex, damaging multiple units and leaving several residents without a home. Deputy Chief James Pennington with the Houston Fire Department said crews arrived around 10:15 p.m. Tuesday to find heavy fire coming through the roof. What began as a small kitchen fire quickly spread, involving 24 units and damaging eight to nine of them.
