The Tampa Bay Rays announced its current leadership will be stepping down in connection with the franchise's sale, which the team says is expected to close within the next two weeks pending final approvals. President Matt Silverman, who has been working with the organization for more than two decades, will conclude his tenure once the transaction is finalized, according to a press release from the team.
